Team Godfather is hosting a charity golf tournament on Friday, June 17th at 4pm at St. Mark Golf Club in San Marcos, CA. The Women’s Nine, Wine & Dine golf tournament helps raise awareness of Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Team Godfather was founded in 2009 and has raised $956,056 to support research and drug development for ALS.
ALS is a progressive disorder that causes permanent paralysis and destroys nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement. People with ALS typically live three to five years after diagnosis. Some 5,600 Americans are diagnosed with ALS each year. Approximately 35,000 people at any given time are living with ALS in the United States. Currently, there is no cure or treatment.
Suna Solutions has been an active participant in the Team Godfather events and is looking forward to helping them hit their goal to raise $1MM by 2017.
