Do I Really Need a Recruiter?

So you may be reading this right now and asking yourself, “What are the advantages of partnering with a recruiter in my job search?”  Think of it this way:  You are one person looking for a job, how could it possibly hurt to have one, two, or even five other individuals assisting in that search?  Some industry surveys suggest that recruiters play a role in 30 to 40 percent of all new hires.

Your first step should be finding the appropriate recruiter to help you in your job search.   With so many recruiting agencies to choose from, it can be a daunting task.  Be sure to have defined career goals in mind in order to partner with a firm that specializes in your field.  To put it into perspective, would you bring your Ferrari to a Toyota dealership for a tune-up?  This will not only put you in front of professionals who specialize in your field, but who also work with companies that will have a need for an employee with your experience.

Did you know there are many companies that do not have the internal resources to find the right talent, so they seek help through specialized recruiting agencies?  These companies turn to our services knowing that we will find the right people to better their organizations.  In this situation, the candidate who seeks out the recruiter gets the exposure!

Furthermore, another advantage to building a strong network of recruiters is that you will always have people on your side, pointing you in the right direction, and presenting you with opportunities you otherwise would not hear about.

Now you can see why leaving professional recruiters out of your job search puts you at a clear disadvantage.
